Chudo‑Yudo is the loyal servant of a forest enchantress. He doesn’t know who he is or where he comes from, but can transform into any living creature at will. His new task is to protect the headstrong young sorceress Otrada — daughter of the mighty mages Chernogor and Bolotnitsa — from any trouble during her perilous journey into the world of ordinary people. Soon Chudo‑Yudo realizes he would do anything for Otrada, even without his mistress’s order.
